On the 2nd leg of this 3rd qualifying round for the Champions League, the Swiss vice-champions Young Boys will face Ukranian vice-champions Dinamo Kiev,
at Bern. On the 1st leg, played last week, Dinamo Kiev won 3-1 at home, in a very balanced match.
Still, Dinamo couldn’t get a perfect result, since they conceded a goal. Later in the game they eventually got the 2 goal lead, but a 2-0 would be much better than this 3-1.
Curiously, on their domestic leagues, both teams got really comfortable results this weekend, in a clear message of strength and vitality to their rivals on this qualifying round.
Dinamo Kiev thrashed Karpaty 5-0, being really clinical on their opportunities, and taking advantage of practically all of them. Despite having some rotation implemented by their coach Addi Hutter.
the Swiss travelled to Grasshoppers, and beat them 4-0, with a dominating 2nd half performance. They were able to completely control their opponent, even with a technically weaker squad.
Young Boys vs Dinamo Kiev Pick:
This Young Boys team is usually very strong at home (for example, last season they got 17 wins in 25 matches on their ground), and also has a pretty interesting goal scoring record, having 68 goals scored, which averages almost 3 goals scored per match.
Besides that, last season, they eliminated Shakhtar Donetsk on these qualifying rounds for the Champions League, which shows us that they can be really dangerous.
Well, all of this, combined with the fact that they have nothing to lose, since they are at a disadvantage, I believe that a comeback can occur here.
The Swiss are tough to crack at home, and considering their great offensive ability, I think they have what it takes to accomplish this historical comeback.
Therefore, I don’t see the home team losing in this match.
