Washington Wizards vs Toronto Raptors – NBA: The Wizards ended the
regular season with a 43-40 record and it was honestly a very weak campaign from them, considering they are normally a top 5 team.
They were awful on the final stretch of that regular season, only winning 3 of their last 10 games, and on the last 6 games of the season, that decided the “seeding” they’ve only beaten the Celtics, curiously, losing to super weak teams like the Bulls, Hawks and Orlando Magic.
I also wanted to highlight that John Wall’s injury took a lot of the team’s quality, like it would be expected.
Now speaking about this game 2, the team defended very poorly (allowing 44 points in a single quarter is amateur), was completely dominated on the rebounding aspect (where they lost 48-34) and despite the big performance of John Wall (29 points), another of their key players, Bradley Beal, played terribly.
The team needs both of them in form and they need to put up a better fight on the backboards.
The Raptors have won the East to great surprise of all that probably add them as the 3rd best team of the conference (probably behind the Cavs and Celtics, respectively). It was an excellent season for the Canadian team that will have “home court advantage” throughout all the post-season.
I think that this year they took advantage of the weaknesses of their opponents (the Celtics broke and were left without Irving, the Cavs were never incredible and furthermore, they were only threatened periodically by the 76ers.
But we should really praise the work done on this team and I would say that the most important aspect for their success is the bench.
The team has a 2-0 advantage and speaking about game 2, they went out with all they had at the start, dominating the first 12 minutes, where they’ve scored 44 points.
DeMar Derozan did incredibly well, scoring 37 points while Lowry scored 13 and had 12 assists, with Ibaka and CJ Miles also making great exhibitions.
Washington Wizards vs Toronto Raptors – Betting Tip and Prediction:
The Wizards are very tight and despite the bad performances they have been having, they have bene putting up a fight.
The home advantage is now important, and I think they should put up a good fight and believe they will win this game.
