Turkey vs Albania – International Friendly : In one of the football matches this Monday…
With several international friendlies occurring along the day, the Turkish national team, managed by Mircea Lucescu,
and the Albania’s national team, managed by Christian Panucci, will meet at the Antalya Arena, in Antalya,
on a match between two teams who share the unfortunate aspect that they both failed to qualify for the next edition of the World Cup that will be played in Russia within 7 months.
The Turkish side, currently managed by the former Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu goes into this match on a terrible streak of results,
only having 1 win on their last 5 matches (and what a win), against Croatia, 1-0, on a result that, back then, kept the team alive on the fight for a qualifying spot for that said World Cup.
The team had a very underwhelming qualification stage, considering the expectations, finishing in 4th place on the group, only getting 4 wins in 10 matches.
As for the Albanian side, now managed by a former Italian Player, Panucci, they are coming off a less positive streak, not being able to win on their last 3 consecutive matches, losing 2 of them,
and losing the qualification train for next year’s competition, which, to be fair, was a hard objective for them, since they were on the same group as Italy and Spain and only one team would qualify directly.
With that, the team finished in 3rd place, getting some interesting results in the process.
Turkey vs Albania – Betting Tip and Prediction:
Both teams are coming off somewhat painful qualification stages and, with that,
I believe they won’t be very motivated going into this match, especially the Turkish side who has to impose a renovation in terms of the Federation,
since one of the best generations Turkey ever had, in terms of football, is rapidly declining and not getting any younger.
This way, and adding that to the fact that Albania is one of the teams that has been developing better in recent years, namely on the defensive aspect,
I believe we’ll have a low-scoring affair, especially on the first 45 minutes.
