Toronto Raptors vs New Orleans Pelicans – NBA: Tonight at 00:35 (London time) the Canadian side…
Toronto Raptors hosts the New Orleans Pelicans, on a game of the NBA regular stage.
The bookies are giving a slight favouritism to the home side, which I think makes some sense due to the fact that they will play in front of their crowd, have a more geared up team than the Pelicans, but in general.
I think that both teams have the same potential, if they are able to avoid any major injuries, to reach the play-offs.
The Toronto Raptors (6:4) are a team of ups and downs, since the last 2 years, but I expected them to be a more dominant force than they have been on this conference.
Their team has the superstar DeMar DeRozan, Jonas Valanciunas, C.J. Miles, Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, amongst others, which gives them a good starting five and some solutions from the bench.
I think that Dwayne Casey should demand more from this team, trying to increase the pace, since they are 16th in terms of pace in the NBA, and also improving their defence a little bit, since they are the 12th worst defence in the NBA.
On the attack they occupy the 8th top place with an average of 108.9 points scored.
The New Orleans Pelicans (6:5) should have the best double in terms of strength and power in the NBA, with Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins who are two monsters in the post.
Boogie is in fantastic form and he seems to be getting along better with his teammates this season, after leaving the Kings at the end of last season.
For me, the team is still one player away of being a strong contender to reach the conference final, with Rajon Rondo (who is even absent due to injury) not being able to keep up with AD and Cousins.
Toronto Raptors vs NO Pelicans – Betting Tip and Prediction:
For tonight I think the value is on the home side, who despite everything are the team with more solutions.
Both played on the 8th, but Toronto played at home against the Bulls, which ensured them more rest than the Pelicans who had a trip to Indiana where they had to give all they had, therefore:
