Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics – NBA: Tonight, we will have a duel between
two sides that are in the lead of the Eastern Conference.
With the Raptors being in first place, followed by the Boston Celtics.
The two teams are coming off a back-to-back where they’ve lost, but the Celtics failed to capitalize and get a little closer to the top spot, something that would be epic since last night they had to play without centers, and with the coaching staff still unsure if they will have to do the same tonight, in Toronto.
The Toronto Raptors are in 1st place of the East with 55 wins and 22 losses.
The Canadian side, playing at the Air Canada Centre, has 31 wins and 7 losses, being the most efficient team in the East playing at home.
The Raptors are coming off 2 losses on the road, having lost in Boston on Saturday against these same Celtics by 110-99 and then yesterday in Cleveland against the Cavaliers by 112-106.
The Raptors, with these 2 losses, have put their 1st place in jeopardy, considering they still have to play twice against the Celtics (tonight in Toronto and then another game in Boston).
The Celtics, considering the conditions, are making an incredible season, led by their coach Brad Stevens.
They are on a final stretch of the regular season where they have been playing with a lot of absences, but that hasn’t stopped them from beating some of the strongest opponents in this league.
Yesterday, the team resented itself from the lack of centres, with the 4 players that could play in that position being unavailable.
Irving is injured for quite some time, Marcus Smart as well, Terry Rozier picked up an injury on Saturday against the Raptors and Shane Larkin was also sick and couldn’t play, which meant that the inexperienced Kadeem Allen would have to play center.
The Celtics, despite all these adversities, are still managing to be on the fight for the 1st place in the East, which ends up being brilliant.
Irving, Hayward, Smart and Theis are unavailable, and all that’s left to know is if Terry Rozier and Shane Larkin are already fit to play tonight in Toronto.
Toronto Raptors vs Boston Celtics – Betting Tip and Prediction:
The Raptors, in case they win tonight, put an end to the Celtics’ hopes of reaching 1st place in the East.
I believe that the Raptors, playing at home and with everyone available, will beat these weakened Celtics.
