Sevilla vs Bayern – UEFA Champions League : Sevilla hosts Bayern München this Tuesday at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán
On the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Well, everyone expected to see Bayern München on the Champions League’s quarter-finals, but the same can’t be said about Sevilla.
The Spanish team is one of the unexpected surprises of this stage of the competition, especially when the draw has put them against José Mourinho’s United.
On the group stage, Sevilla did the bare minimum and advanced in 2nd place of a group that had Liverpool (1st place), Spartak Moscow and Maribor.
On the Spanish La Liga, things aren’t going so well for them.
In fact, Sevilla’s season, besides their Champions League’s participation has been very inconsistent. The team is in 6th place and is at risk of even failing to qualify for the next European competitions.

Bayern has also had an inconsistent start to the season. That inconsistency even resulted on the change of managers, with Ancelotti’s departure and the arrival of the formerly retired Jupp Heynckes.
There’s no denying that the team has improved since then, especially on the Bundesliga.
On that competition, the team is coming off a true massacre over Dortmund and they are comfortably leading the competition.
They have a 17-points advantage over Schalke 04 that right now is in 2nd place. On the Champions League, Bayern did get a little bit of luck on the draw.
Sevilla vs Bayern – Betting Tip and Prediction:
Despite having advanced in 2nd place of their group (that had PSG, Celtic and Anderlecht) the team drew Besiktas and won both matches without any major difficulties.
Sevilla is a different team on the Champions League. They’ve already shown that they are more than capable of bothering stronger teams.
Against United at home, the team has surprisingly massacred the English men, with the ball simply not going in.
In England however, they’ve won convincingly.
I believe that, playing at home, Sevilla will at least be able to score a goal on the 1st leg of this knockout tie.
