Romania hosts Armenia at the National Arena in Bucharest on this Qualification stage for the 2018 World Cup.
Maybe this is the last chance for both teams to get closer to the qualifying spots for the next World Cup.
Both teams have the same points, and they are 4 points away from the 2nd place, which seems a more realistic target, since Poland already has a 10-point advantage at the top of the group, so they shouldn’t be caught.
Romania is not living a good moment.
Their win over Chile on a friendly ended a 5-match winless streak for the team. On this Qualification stage, their last win was curiously against Armenia, 5-0 away from home.

Romania vs Armenia – 2018 World Cup Qualification:
With the same 6 points conquered so far, Armenia will play for their competition life in Bucharest, in order to keep their chances of qualifying.
The problem is, just like the hosts’, their record in these conditions isn’t very good. From the 3 matches played away from home, the team has lost all of them, conceding 7 goals and only scoring 2 so far.
On the last round of qualification, the Armenians have lost at Montenegro 4-1. They are similar in classification but I think Romania’s team is globally better than them.
It is true that, at home, the team hasn’t won yet on this qualification stage.
But they’ve faced the best teams in the group such as Poland and Montenegro, and despite Armenia’s individual talents, like Mkhitaryan.
I don’t think they’ll have enough to cause Romania some troubles.
