The Paris Saint-Germain’s board has already concluded that they will hardly be able to get any players better than Kylian Mbappé or Neymar for the club and for that reason, they look willing to invest a lot on the renewal of the contracts of the two stars that can make the difference towards the club’s success in the near future.
Kylian Mbappé’s numbers are impressive
The big objective of the club for the next couple of days is trying to renew the contract with the 21-year-old French attacker and everything suggests that the amount of money involved can really be ridiculous.
Speaking about ridiculous things, nothing better than looking at the statistical data of the World Champion so that we can have a better idea of the current value of the player in question.
This season, Mbappé has 19 matches played where he has scored 18 goals and contributed with 8 more assists.
Basically, he is clearly worth more than 1 goal per match on the team led by Thomas Tuchel, with his performance abroad also being remarkable, since he has 5 goals scored and 4 assists in only 5 matches played on the current edition of the Champions League.
In a certain way, it is possible to see that PSG won’t find a player better than Mbappé in case they lose him in the near future, which means the club is absolutely committed to renewing the contract with the French player at any cost.
Unfortunately for the Parisians, Mbappé won’t exactly have financial problems to the point of staying at the club only for monetary reasons. However, it is clear that a serious raise can make him at least think twice before leaving.
Clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus will continue to be aware of the possibility of signing the player, although the value of his transfer is extremely high.
The player is valued at 200 million Euros, but it is unlikely that PSG will let him go for his market value.
That way, the solution for the French player to leave to more competitive leagues might be a non-renewal of his contract, which will force PSG to sell the player for less unrealistic values.
As I’ve already said, PSG is completely focused on this objective of maintaining their biggest star.
However, these might be some difficult negotiations, since the player might already be thinking on the Premier League or La Liga.
Neymar can also receive a generous offer
With Barcelona eyeing the Brazilian superstar, but apparently not having the financial ability to ensure his signing, PSG can also look at the possibility of reviewing Neymar’s contractual situation in the sense of convincing him to stay for a couple more seasons.
The Brazilian player desperately tried to force his way out of the club on the last transfer window, but PSG and Barcelona didn’t reach an agreement for the transfer and the same thing can happen in January, with the Parisians looking to maintain their squad to attack the Champions League.

Neymar’s contract also expires in 2022 and if he doesn’t renew soon, he can become another problem for the French club that will certainly try to at least recover some of the strong investment of 222 million Euros they’ve made on the Brazilian player.
Despite Mbappé being the priority right now, the truth is that a potential failure in the negotiations with the French attacker can open up the doors for an even better contract for Neymar, and then who knows if the Brazilian won’t change his mind and stay in Paris…
Thomas Tuchel wants the roster in maximum strength
It seems clear that PSG’s German manager won’t be willing to lose any of his more influential players on this winter transfer market, with the clear intent of fighting for the European clubs’ title.
In fact, even Edinson Cavani’s departure to Atlético de Madrid has been problematic, with the Parisians still not being satisfied with the values involved.
That shows the club’s ambition, as well as their financial situation that doesn’t leave them reliant on sales to remain solid.

On the 8th finals, the club is facing Borussia Dortmund on a knockout tie that is expected to be extremely exciting between two teams with an attacking mentality.
When it comes to the top goal scorer of this Champions League, it seems difficult for anyone to be able to question the dominance of the Polish player of Bayern München, Robert Lewandowski.
