Monaco vs Nice – Ligue 1: Monaco is a team that despite having lost important players
Is still very competitive and playing good football
They are clearly an offensive team and they have maintained their game plans from last season.
Monaco is a bit behind on the title race, because PSG is extremely consistent, and it will be very hard to recover the 11-points disadvantage to the Paris team.
Monaco slipped up again on the last round by drawing 0-0 in Montpellier, on a match where they simply couldn’t score.
Lyon also drew at home and therefore Monaco was able to maintain their 2nd place in Ligue 1. Leonardo Jardim’s team has been very strong at home and only PSG won at their stadium.
Nice is an interesting French team that will surely fight for a European spot. They are still on the Europa League where they also advanced on the group stage.
Nice started the league poorly, losing some unexpected matches and being on the bottom spots of the league table at the beginning of the season.
Then they recovered quite well and are making a campaign more within what was expected from them.
Nice has won 4 of their last 5 matches and they are playing well. On the last round, they hosted and confirmed their favouritism over Amiens, winning 1-0 and showing solidity on the defensive process.
Away from home, Nice isn’t as strong as they are at home.
However, recently they’ve also improved and won in tough grounds, such as Nantes’ stadium for example. They are looking for a new good result away from home, on a tough stadium such as Monaco’s.
Monaco vs Nice – Betting Tip and Prediction:
In this match, I believe we will witness at least 3 goals, just like it happened on the League Cup a few weeks ago, where this teams have faced each other, and Monaco won 2-1. Monaco is coming off a slip-up away from home, but they have been stronger at home.
Nice is a good team, well-organized, who has good players up front and I fully believe they will be able to score at the principality.
I considered betting on Monaco to win, but I think that the goals will be more likely to happen here, since both teams are ambitious and will look to win the match here.
The odds for the goals is lower than the odds for Monaco to win, but I think this is the most adequate bet for this match.
