Milan vs AEK Athens: In one of the matches of the group D of this Europa League…
An Italian and a Greek team will face off, since AC Milan and AEK will meet at the San Siro, in Milan, in a match between the 1st and 2nd placed teams of this group.
AC Milan’s manager, Vincenzo Montella, won’t be able to count with Andrea Conti, while Antonelli and Kalinic are still doubtful but shouldn’t be fit to play as well; As for AEK’s coach, Manolo Jiménez, won’t be able to have Barkas and Giakoumakis available, with Chygrynskiy and Lambropoulos still doubtful for this match.
AC Milan isn’t having an easy start of the season, with pressure piling over Vincenzo Montella who, despite not having his job in danger, according to the Milanese’s club board, will have to do better on the next matches and improve the Rossoneri’s results.
On the Europa League, the team is doing minimum service so far, beating Rijeka and Austria Vienna, but struggling on the match against the Croatian champions. A win in this match would practically ensure their qualification for the next stage.
As for AEK Athens, they are in good position to ensure a possible qualification which, still, got a little bit trickier after their draw at home against Austria Vienna, on an atypical performance from the Greeks, who were leading at first but then found themselves needing to comeback on the score line, scoring in the final minutes to ensure a point against the Austrians.
AC Milan vs AEK Athens – Betting Tip and Prediction:
Given their consistency in terms of goals and results, I believe that AC Milan can get the win over the Greeks on this encounter, with André Silva possibly getting on the scoresheet, although the competition is high for that striker position on the roster.
Also considering the fact that AEK has been conceding a lot of goals (conceding 9 goals on the last 5 rounds for example), AC Milan’s confidence should increase, since they know they have the ability to score in San Siro.
