Málaga vs Barcelona – La Liga : On the match that closes out this Saturday of football in Spain, counting towards La Liga’s 28th round
The local side Málaga and the visiting side Barcelona face off in the city of Málaga, at the La Rosaleda Stadium,
in what will be the 2nd meeting between these two teams on this 2017/2018 season, with their previous encounter having finished with a 2-0 win for Barcelona in Camp Nou.
The home side is making their worst campaign in several years, being practically condemned to relegation, being in last place of the league table, with 13 points,
and already having a very considerable disadvantage to the safety zone, of 8 points, when there aren’t a lot of points up for grabs until the end of the season.
The team is coming off an awful streak of results, counting with 6 consecutive losses on the competition and not losing a single match for several months (specifically since the beginning of December),
in what was only one of 3 wins the team has gotten so far.
As for the visitors, they are walking towards the title on a quieter fashion than what would be expected, after having a not very positive start to the season.
But they gained confidence over the course of the season, with the team being now in the lead of this competition, with a comfortable advantage over Atlético de Madrid, of 8 points, when there are only 11 rounds to be played in La Liga.
The team is on a good moment of form domestically, although with some alternation between draws and victories, but coming off a very important loss over their more direct pursuer, by 1-0, on the previous round of the competition.
Málaga vs Barcelona – Betting Tip and Prediction:
With a Barcelona in excellent form and being a fantastic team, on the literal sense of “team”, and upon a miserable Málaga, I can only expect a clear win for the Catalans in Málaga,
even taking into consideration the Champions League encounter they will have in the middle of next week.
