In one of the matches that will feature in the 3rd matchday of the Premier League, two big teams will face off, and both have only won once so far, this season.
This will be the first big match of the 2017/2018 edition of the most popular league in the world.
From the Liverpool side, Lallana is the only absence, while Clyne and Coutinho are still doubtful but they shouldn’t be available for Klopp in this match. On the Arsenal side, Alexis Sanchéz is the biggest absence for the team lead by Àrsene Wenger.
We are witnessing an interesting start of the season from the home side, with good results, in general, and confirming their presence on the Champions’ League group stage.
Something that hasn’t happened in recent years, after beating Hoffenheim categorically over the course of two legs, and playing very well on the 2nd leg at Anfield Road.
From the 4 official matches already played, the Reds won 3, scoring 10 goals and conceding 6 in the process, and keeping a clean sheet only once.
Moving onto the Gunners, the team has had a turbulent start to the season, being able to win the Community Shield against Chelsea but then having poor showings against Leicester.
Struggling to win 4-3 at home, and against Stoke, where they had the first loss of the season, in a match where they were not able to capitalize their dominance, namely on ball possession, where they dominated with 80%.
Liverpool vs Arsenal Betting Tip:
Theoretically, most of Liverpool’s Klopp matches will be suitable to have several goals, and I think this one is no exception.
Both teams are still a work in progress and we can see there is still a lot to correct and improve on for both managers, with, despite everything, Liverpool being a more offensive side, that, naturally, exposes too much on the defensive side.
Besides that, they also don’t have very competent defenders, at least not as much as they needed, and therefore they end up conceding a lot of goals.
Regarding Arsenal, the team is still showing some signs of insecurity (just like we saw against Leicester).
I believe that will also lead to some chances both for Liverpool and Arsenal in this match. This way, I expect a match with a lot of goals, at least 3.
