Juventus vs Lazio – Serie A : On one of the three exciting matches of this 8th round of the Serie A…
We will have a match, at the Juventus Stadium, in Turin, the local team Juventus, managed by Massimiliano Allegri and Lazio, managed by Filippo Inzaghi, who are two teams contending for the top spots in the Serie A.
The hosts won’t be able to count with De Sciglio, Howedes, Pjanic and Pjaca, who are all injured, while the Laziale side won’t be able to count with Felipe Anderson, Wallace, Dusan Basta and Jordan Lukaku.
I’ll now leave the probable starting XI’s:
Juventus: Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Rugani, Chiellini, Sandro, Khedira, Matuidi, Bernardeschi, Dybala, Mandzukic, Higuaín
Lazio: Strakosha, Radu, De Vrij, Bastos, Lulic, Parolo, Leiva, Marusic, Milinkovic-Savic, Alberto, Immobile
You can clearly tell, in my opinion that this Juventus is, at least for now, far from their potential on previous seasons, resenting themselves of the departures of some key players of their squad in recente years, like Bonucci.
The team is showing more inconsistency on the defensive field, just like you can see through their defensive records (despite being good, they used to be a lot better previously), with the match against Atalanta being a good exemple of that.
As for Lazio, they are having a notable start to this season, sitting at the top of the league table, having one of the best offensive records and playing football with a lot of quality in the Serie A,
with their comfortable win over Sassuolo being na excelente exemple of that, since they scored 6 goals on that match. If they win, the team from Rome overtake the Italian champions on the league table.
Juventus vs Lazio – Betting Tip and Prediction:
Despite Vecchia Signora’s slightly less positive form when compared to previous years,
the team is still very strong at home and they are already more well-oiled than they were on the match that opened up this season, where they were defeated by Lazio 3-2 on Italy’s Super cup.
It is certain that Lazio plays offensive and intense football but, considering the fact that Juve is usually a calculating team,
I believe they might play on the expectation and then pounce on the counter-attack, like they usually do. This way, I see a win for the hosts here.
