Here we have a match that i expect to be close. Basaksehir Turkish vice-champions will host well-known Sevilla (who finished 4th in La Liga last season)
We all know that it is not easy playing in Turkey, where local teams always have a passionate crowd behind them, making it a “hell” for their opponents and in this edition of the Champions League, which is still in the qualifying rounds.
Club Brugge has already felt that, when they were beat undoubtedly in Istanbul 2-0, a result that eliminated the Belgians from the UCL and got the Turkish side through to this play-off.
This Turkish side is dangerous, and it has several valuable players on its roster, such as Junior Caiçara, Manuel da Costa, Márcio Mossoró and veteran striker Adebayor up front.
They will try and take the lead in front of their home crowd, in order to take a decent result for the 2nd leg in Spain, but it won’t be an easy task, because their opponent is very respectable and should be feared.
Sevilla: Despite having swapped their manager Sampaoli and having some important departures from their roster such as Kranevitter, Iborra, Nasri, Vitolo, Vietto and Jovetic, are still a fearsome opponent.
Especially because they also signed some quality players such as Nolito, Muriel, Banega and Jesus Navas, which, if added to their already quality players Correa and Ben Yedder, form a really dangerous squad.
But tonight, in Turkey, I don’t believe that Sevilla, in front of a good opponent and a rabid crow, is able to go through unscathed.
But I also believe that they have several players up front with enough quality to score and make their task easier in the 2nd leg, where they will try to settle this tie in Andalusia.
Basaksehir vs Sevilha Pick:
This way, on the Eastern side of Europe, I expect a close match with some goals, distributed among both teams.
