Grigor Dimitrov vs Nick Kyrgios – Australian OpenGrigor Dimitrov is a Bulgarian 26-year old tennis player, who is ranked 3rd in the ATP Rankings.
This player is very often compared to Federer, having a very similar style, probably even inspired on the Swiss.
: Grigor is a player with a lot of quality, that is on a position that he could have always been because he has always shown enough talent for it, but he finally seems to have figured things out.
He has a beautiful one-handed backhand, good movement on court, covers the entirety of the court well with his speed and has great technique.
He is very athletic and consistent, mixing up slices with aggressive attacks, and also has a good serve.
In general, he is a very compact player, without many weaknesses and I think that honestly his biggest problem is mentally.
Dimitrov had one of the best seasons amongst all players, winning 3 tournaments, including 1 Masters and the great final of ATP London.
Nick Kyrgios is an Australian 22-year old tennis player, who is 17th on the ATP Rankings. He is a player full of a talent, but he is always very controversial. He argues with the crowd, journalists, players and umpire.
He has said some very nasty things such as he only sees tennis as his job, that he would prefer to be a basketballer, that if he wins 1 major he will not play anymore, etc…
Still, he is one of the players that, when he wants to, plays incredible tennis. He has a great serve, winning a lot of easy points with it and has an immensely aggressive style, with great strokes and a good forehand.
Mentally, despite everything, I find him very strong, especially on pressure moments and he never “tones down” his aggressiveness, always trying to get the “winners”.
He is also a player that loves to play at home. The year of 2017 wasn’t that great for Nick, reaching 2 finals but losing both of them, but in 2018, he got off to a great starting, winning the title at ATP Brisbane.
Grigor Dimitrov vs Nick Kyrgios – Betting Tip and Prediction:
This match is more on the racquet of Nick Kyrgios than any other.
I think he has a lot of quality and the positions on the rankings could very well be reversed. I think that, in front of the home crowd, he will want to advance.
I advise wagering small here, because he is always very complicated to predict, but I think he will win in 4 or 5 sets.
