Estonia: This Estonian National team doesn’t impress me.
They only have 1 win in 7 matches and it was against the titans of…Gibraltar.
Estonia is a very defensive team, especially away from home, where they literally park the bus in front of their goal.
As amazing as it might seem, they were able to draw 0-0 in both Greece and Cyprus.
At home, they are a little more open and sometimes they have the attacking initiative, but that leaves them more exposed in the back so they become more vulnerable playing at home, in my opinion.
They’ve only won at home against Gibraltar, but that win isn’t impressive, it is just what was supposed to happen.
Cyprus: They are on the fight for a play-off spot after having made a spectacular and fantastic comeback on their last match, at home against Bosnia, since they were losing 0-2 at half-time but then they were able to turn it around to 3-2.
That was a great result that puts the Cypriots on the fight for that 2nd place in the group.
Their players are mostly from their National league but they also have some interesting players like the midfielder Demetriou or the striker Soteriou, who plays at Copenhagen and scored the winning goal on their fantastic comeback against Bosnia.
After this match, Cyprus will host Greece and that can be important in this group, since they still have something to say here.
Estonia vs Cyprus – Betting Tip and Prediction:
The Cypriots travel to Estonia with a lot of confidence after having beaten Bosnia 3-2 at home a few days ago. That win puts them back in the fight for that 2nd place and they still have a word to say.
Looking at what is these teams’ rosters, I’d say that Cyprus have a bit more quality and they have the advantage mentally at this stage, because they are motivated and still fighting for that 2nd place.
My bet has a lot of value because I’m confident that the Cypriots will come out of this match with points and maybe even the win.
