Group C of this European Qualification for the 2018 World Cup is being totally dominated by Germany.
The German national team, World Champions and Confederation Cup winners, haven’t found any opposition for the top spot in this group.
On 6 matches, they have 6 wins, 27 goals scored and only 1 goal conceded. Even excluding their 15 goals scored against San Marino, Germany was always able to win by 2 or more goals in every match.
For this match, Joachim Low called up some of the players that didn’t attend the Confederations Cup.
Mats Hummels, Toni Kroos, Sami Khedira and Thomas Muller should be starters, in a squad where Manuel Neuer is still missing, despite being back to competition last weekend already.
Czech Republic is renovating at the moment, but they still have hope to discuss the play-off spot in dispute, with Northern Ireland. In 6 matches, they only have 2 wins, against Norway and San Marino, but they also have only lost away against Germany.
The lack of experience from most of this group of players available for this match can hurt the Czechs’ aspirations for this encounter although they certainly expected to lose both matches against Germany anyway, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise.
The big question about this match is if Germany will win, for the first time on this qualification stage, by a 1-goal margin only.
If the Czechs can expect to perform better than they did in Germany because they will play at home, the Germans’ offensive power will still be unstoppable.
Czech Republic vs Germany – Betting Tip and Prediction:
Because of that, we should expect Germany to score first, early in the match, and then not stopping to create goal chances.
Another important aspect is the fact that, next Monday, Czech Republic will have a decisive match in Northern Ireland.
While Germany will host a weaker team, which is Norway.
