Clemson Tigers vs LSU Tigers – NCAAF : Clemson and LSU face off in the last match of College Football
Clemson Tigers vs LSU Tigers –and that defines who will be the NCAAF champions this season.
This will be a battle between two unbeaten teams, with both teams coming into this game with 14 victories and 0 losses.
The game will be played at the Superdome, in New Orleans, and it will feature two of the best quarterbacks in the recent history of the NCAA.
Louisiana State’s season was magical, and all of that because of their quarterback Joe Burrow, that started his career at Ohio State but never had chances in Columbus:
He was the backup of JT Barret and Dwayne Haskin, until he decided to force a transfer. In 2018, he had an awful season as LSU’s quarterback, after coming to Baton Rouge completely discredited.
His season was so awful that in 2019 a lot of media outlets were requesting that he was removed from the starting line-up. Then came 2019 and it brought one of the biggest evolutions I’ve ever seen on a quarterback.
Burrow, operating a new offensive system brough by their offensive coach Joe Brady (formerly in the New Orleans Saints), shut up all the doubters and threw for 4715 yards, 48 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions.
His magical season was crowned with the Heisman Trophy (award given to the best player in the FBS). He will probably be the first-round pick of the 2020 NFL draft.
During the regular season, the offensive playmakers were the wide receivers Jamar Chase (1498 yards and 18TDs), Justin Jefferson (1207 yards and 14 TDs), Terrace Marshall (545 yards, 10 TDs) and the running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (1290 yards, 16 TDs). The Tigers’ defence allowed 21.2 points and 341.3 total yards on average per game.
At the Peach Bowl, against Oklahoma, Burrow had one of the most impressive performances I’ve ever seen from a quarterback. Before the half-time, he had already thrown for 7 (SEVEN!!!) touchdowns against the Sooners’ defence.
That performance certainly ensured he will be the first-round pick on the next draft for the Cincinnati Bengals.
His final numbers on the game were 29/39, 496 yards and 7 TDs.
He ran for 21 yards and another TD. The receiver Justin Jefferson received 14 passes for 227 yards and 4 touchdowns on the victory by 63-28.
Clemson maintained the offensive core that won the title in 2018 and dominated their opponents in 2019.
Except for the match against North Carolina where they’ve won on the road only by 1 point, the Tigers didn’t struggle against any of the other teams
they’ve faced, having inclusively beaten the Virginia Cavaliers by 62-17 on the final of the Atlantic Coastal Conference. Of course they didn’t have a very complicated campaign, but the credit has to be given to Dabo Swinney’s team.
The leader of the attack is the quarterback Trevor Lawrence, that during the regular season threw for 3172 yards, 34 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
The running back Travis Etienne and the wide receivers Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross are the other offensive playmakers.
At the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State’s strong defence, Lawrence threw for 259 yards and 2 TDs. He ran for 107 yards and another TD. Etienne didn’t have great numbers on the ground, but he was responsible for 1 TD.
He had a huge impact on the aerial game, having scored 2 touchdowns and almost reaching the mark of the 100 received yards. Higgins and Ross combined for 80 yards on a match where they were very tightly marked.
Louisiana State count with the inspired quarterback Joe Burrow that has conditions to take down any defence from the FBS.
On his group of playmakers, he counts with maybe the best set of wide receivers in the league in Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase and Terrace Marshall.

Clemson Tigers vs LSU Tigers – Betting Tips: :
And we can’t Forget about the great Clyde Edwards-Helaire and their aggressive offensive line.
Clemson doesn’t fall behind in terms of offensive talent, having on the roster the QB Trevor Lawrence, the running back Travis Etienne and the receivers Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross.
Any defence will have difficulties against these players and because of that, I believe this will be a game where the offenses dominate.
