Cincinnati Bengals vs Buffalo Bills – NFL: On the first three weeks of this new season, Cincinnati got three losses…
The Bengals only got their first win last weak against Cleveland Browns’ weak team. QB Andy Dalton started the season disastrously, giving up 5 turnovers and not getting a TD pass in the first two weeks.
In weeks 3 and 4 however, he was able to return and he got 498 yards in total and 6 TD’s, without a single turnover. All that’s left to know is which Andy Dalton will start this match.
WR A.J. Green is still being Dalton’s priority target, since he is the one he trusts the most.
He passed 38 points towards them (more than double from the next player on this aspect) with 25 of them being caught, which resulted in 315 total yards and 2 TDs.
Their running game, which hasn’t gotten any TD so far, needs to step up a lot in order to help the team.
Their freshman RB Joe Mixon only has 136 yards this season, having a low average of 2.6 yards per carry.
Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill haven’t also been contributing as they should, with only 89 and 82 yards ran respectively.
As for their defence, it is the 3rd best in the whole NFL in terms of yards conceded per match, only allowing 273.3 on average. Of those,
only 164.8 yards are allowed on pass (also 3rd best record in the league), but their run defence is average, allowing 108.5 yards on average (17th in the NFL).
The highlight here goes to LB Nick Vigil who got 34 tackles, 1 sack, 2 deflected passes and 1 interception so far.
With a record of 3-1 on this campaign and an unexpected lead in the division, Buffalo’s team can be considered one of the big surprises of the season.
Their QB Tyrod Taylor has an average of just 171.5 passing yards per game, but he has been leading the team very well. So much that he has 5 TD passes and only 1 interception.
Besides that, he has the 7th best QBRating in the NFL, ahead of players like Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson and Big Ben.
To help Taylor in attack, we can highlight mainly the RB LeSean McCoy. Despite not having scored a TD in the season yet, the RB has been contributing both on the running game as well as catching passes.
So far, he has 216 running yards (averaging 3.2 per carry) and 163 passing yards (21 receptions in 23 passes). I should also highlight the WR Charles Clay, who has 227 received yards in total and 2 TDs.
Cincinnati Bengals vs Buffalo Bills – Betting Tip and Prediction:
The defence is their biggest strength and has been gaining some respect, especially after being able to hold off the powerful Falcons’ offense and only allowing them to score 17 points, in Atlanta.
They are the team who allowed the least points in the NFL so far, 54 in total. They have 11 sacks so far besides 16 tackles resulting in a loss of yards, 27 deflected passes and 6 interceptions.
The highlight goes to LB Ramon Humber who has 37 tackles and the freshmen CB Tre’Davious White who has 20 tackles, 8 deflected passes and 1 interception so far.
Here i expect a heavily contested match, even closer than the odds suggest.
But this Buffalo’s team has a very strong defence, who was able to stop the Falcons’ offense in Atlanta, so I believe they will also be able to hold off the Bengals’ inconsistent offense.
