At 34 years of age and with 3 NBA titles up his sleeve, LeBron James is looking for his 4th title in 2020 and for that, he will count with a luxurious roster surrounding him on the Los Angeles Lakers. Will that be enough for him to reach success?
Can LeBron win his 4th ring with the Lakers? Shuffling around to win again
After having fulfilled his dream of returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers to offer a title to the franchise and city, King James decided to leave again in 2018 to join the mythical LA Lakers, where names such as Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant or Magic Johnson stood out.
But the first year was clearly a failed experiment. James surrounded himself with a team that had a lot of youth in order to build a talented and promising roster for the years to come, but that strategy proved to be a fiasco and the Lakers didn’t even reach the play-offs of the Western Conference.
That way, this year it was time to renew, with the team bringing in some superstars to keep up with the brightest of them all – LeBron – for a serious contention to the title that puts the team from Los Angeles back on a spot they’ve been on frequently throughout their history.
Can LeBron win his 4th ring with the Lakers? Luxurious roster
Well, maintaining only some experienced players from the previous season such as Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, besides the promising youngster Kyle Kuzma, the team from LA made a series of truly remarkable signings.
What impressed me the most was the reunion of a truly demolishing trio on the interior.
I’m talking about Dwight Howard, DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis that, if they’re all available, can form the deadliest interior trio in the NBA this season.
Naturally, they won’t all play simultaneously, but the simple fact that they can intersperse in order to almost always have at least two of them on the court is truly scary for their competitors.
If we add to them players like Danny Green for the outside shot and Avery Bradley to help creating plays in the exterior with Rondo and James, I’d say that we have here one of the strongest teams for the 2019/20 season in the NBA.
I also highlight the veteran Jared Dudley that, just like Green, can be important to ensure quality on the outside shot, since the penetration ability of players like LeBron James or Avery Bradley should provide them with frequent opportunities for 3-pointers.
Tremendous Western Conference
Just like it has been usual for the NBA on the past couple of decades, and despite the fact that he current champions are from the East, the Western Conference seems to have a set of teams that are absolutely sensational, which will tend to originate that about 10 of those teams finish the regular season with a win rate above 50% without ensuring them one of the 8 play-off spots.
From the Golden State Warriors to the Houston Rockets, going through the two renewed teams from LA, the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs or Minnesota Timberwolves, there are tons of quality teams on the Western Conference, that should be, once again, highly contested since the regular stage of the season.
What do the markets say?
After all this renovation from one season to the other, it is with relative ease that we see the Los Angeles Lakers at the top of the contenders list for the NBA title, more precisely in 2nd place with odds of 5.00 on the main bookmakers like 1xbet to return to the titles after their last one in 2010, when they still had Kobe Bryant.
In first place of the list is their neighbour team LA Clippers that, besides having had an exceptional season last year, with a team of unknown players that were led by Doc Rivers, this year managed to ensure the services of the great superstar of the previous season Kawhi Leonard.
The player that carried the Raptors to an unprecedented title decided to return to the United States this year to lead a young Clippers’ side and he will count with the support of another star in Paul George to help him out on that task.

With so much youth and irreverence as well as two top players, it is normal that the Clippers are so well rated to win the NBA title in 2019/20. In fact, they are leading the list with odds of 4.30 on Bet365.
Basically, and independently of what teams will get into this fight with them, there is a huge expectation surrounding the clash between the two teams from LA.
And if this was always an interesting rivalry because the two teams are from the same city, what should we say about
that when both of them are highly focused in getting the title this year?
Well, I believe the best thing to do is sit tight on our sofas and enjoy the great nights of the finest basketball in the world from October 22nd.
