Rennes’s defensive midfielder Eduardo Camavinga it’s today one of the most desirable players in Europe with clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund keeping him close as a target to next summer’s transfer market.
CAMAVINGA – METEORIC RISE TO PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL
There are players who can’t fool anyone with their skills and their composure on football, Eduardo Camavinga it’s a clear example of that, debuting on Rennes’s senior squad at only 16 years old and making instantly impact on the gallic club.
After playing his first official matches with Rennes last season, it was already this season that he caught attention to some major European clubs after a tremendous performance against PSG which he contributed with an assist to a 2-1 win.
In a sense, he introduced himself to the world of football that day and he never came out of the radar to some big clubs since then, although in all fairness Real Madrid has been follow his footsteps since he was 15 years old and certainly they weren’t amazed with this quick rise from one of the most exciting teenagers right now.
This current season, the French teenager has been a solid presence on Rennes squad with 36 games played already, scoring one goal and delivering two assists during. What is more surprisingly it’s how he settled on starting XI becoming an essential part to a club in a top 10 club on Ligue 1 being only 17 years old, being one of the most used players.
MERENGUE’S REVOLTUION ALSO INCLUDES CAMAVINGA
Real Madrid is in the process of making a slight revolution on their winning roster which won four Champions Leagues in the last six years and Camavinga seems like a good choice for the club managed by Zinedine Zidane looking for a bright future.
At this moment, there is some speculation that this transfer could be around 60 million euros to get some attention of Rennes’s side, although, that amount of money was once not high enough before the pandemic crisis when it was settled at 100 million euros. The global situation made and impact on transfer market too and moderate some of the prices that have been practiced recently.
🚨 O Real Madrid tem como prioridade no próximo mercado as contratações de Eduardo Camavinga e de Paul Pogba.

But Camavinga is not the only priority to Real Madrid in this summer’s transfer window since the “Merengues” also look like to guarantee the services of Erling Haaland and, if possible, Paul Pogba. This will implicate an enormous financial investment by the team centered in the nation capital, even though it looks like there’s some players on the way out such as Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Dani Ceballos, Marion Diaz, Luka Jovic, Eder Militão or even Luka Modric.
Summing up, this next Summer could be very active in Santiago Bernabéu with a lot of players packing on the way out and some of the coming with a full baggage of hope to create some good memories on the winningest club in Champions League history.
BARCELONA AND DORTMUND ALDO TAKING A LOOK
Like any star, Camavinga is already becoming the center of interests to a lot of known clubs around Europe such as Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, which also wants to get the wonderkid.
The Rennes’s young player contract will run up in June 2022 and all the intention that has been showed the most likely case is that Rennes won’t be able to renew contract with the player, that means that they probably will try to negotiate a good deal already this summer so they bank up before it’s too late.

Barcelona is also very active on the market this last couple days trying to sign Lautaro Martinez and Neymar, but they also see with good eyes a renovation on the midfield since Sergio Busquets is not getting any younger. Same case in Borussia Dortmund that probably will lose Erling Haaland and also could lose Jadon Sancho in the next few months, a situation that would be very profitable so they can assault the market.
Dortmund has been known lately by their ability to buy young players at decent prices, mature them and then sell them for big sums of money. Camavinga should be the next on the block in this perspective but having Barcelona and Real Madrid has contestants could make the player too expensive for the Germans, even though money is not a problem for them.
They seem to have a very strict policy about signings and probably won’t go out their course in a moment of uncertainty in the football world.
