Atlético Rafaela hosts Banfield on the 2nd round of this Copa Argentina at Estadio José Antonio Romero Feris.
For those that don’t follow this tournament, it is a knock-out single match competition, played in neutral ground. It will be a match between two teams of different divisions.
Obviously, Atlético Rafaela were amongst the elite of Argentinian football until last year, but due to a terrible campaign, the team ended up being relegated to the 2nd division.
Their national league hasn’t started yet, but the team has gone through a deep renewal regarding their last year’s squad.
On the pre-season, the team played just a dew matches, having had 1 win and 1 loss respectively, against Florida and Las Parejas.

Atlético Rafaela vs Banfield – Betting Tip and Prediction:
Banfield had already made a good campaign last season. The team finished in 5th place and they missed out on a Copa Libertadores’ qualification spot barely.
They are managed by ex-Boca Juniors Falcioni, who has been setting up an interesting squad with Civitanich and Mouche (also ex-Boca). They have also signed Datolo from Atlético Mineiro for this new season.
Their debut against Belgrano at home was very good, and I see two teams on a different level here.
Rafael’s relegation ended up affecting their squad this season and they have a much weaker team now.
As for Banfield, who had already done well last season, we can see they are even stronger this season.
The team’s core was maintained and they still brought in quality players.
The 1-legged affair in neutral pitch favours Banfield even more. In that sense, I believe this DNB has value, in favour of Banfield who is theoretically the visitor here.
