Atlanta Hawks vs Detroit Pistons – NBA: Starting off by the Hawks, they are a very weak team, with a 17-39 record that puts them in last place
And for a team that normally goes to the play-offs, that’s very disappointing. There are some important players (or players that were important)
that have left such as Kyle Korver and Al Horford, with most of their players not being very good and the average NBA fan probably not knowing a lot of the Hawks’ current roster.
The team has won 2 of their last 5 games, which is not bad, beating the Knicks and the Grizzlies. On the road, the team only has 5 wins in 27 games and lately the only players who have been scoring well are Dennis Schroeder and Taurean Prince.
Obviously, everyone has already noticed that the big objective for this team is “tanking” for next season and the truth is that now, the most important thing for them is to develop their youngsters, because there will be more quality next season.
The Detroit Pistons have a 27-27 record and they have been making a reasonable campaign. They currently sit in 9th place.
They are not very far from the play-off spots and they still have 2 games in hand. They have recently made a trade and picked up Blake Griffin, who is an excellent addition, especially on the team’s strength and presence.
Another positive aspect that we can praise is that the team defends well, having in Drummond a big strength both on the inside and outside.
The team has also been shooting a lot of 3’s and they are one of the best teams in that chapter as well.
They have also had a great streak with 5 consecutive wins, very possibly due to some “hype” resultant of the trade that brought Griffin to Detroit.
On their last game, Griffin has faced his previous team but they ended up losing, with him showing himself very frustrated. We’ll see what they do here against theoretically the worst team of the conference.
Atlanta Hawks vs Detroit Pistons – Betting Tip and Prediction:
The Pistons were “on fire” before losing to the Clippers. The Hawks are terrible and can’t comfortably beat anyone. With that, I believe the “spread” will be covered by the Pistons.
