Alexander Zverev vs Jack Sock – ATP Finals: Alexander Zverev is a German 21-year old tennis player who is currently in 3rd place of the ATP Rankings…
More than a talented youngster, he is already a certainty. He has a strong serve, an attacking style, with a good forehand, and also very good in reading his opponent and returning.
Jack Sock is a North-American 25-year old tennis player who is currently ranked 9th on the ATP Rankings.
He is an attacking player, who prefers hard courts, due to his aggressive style, great forehand and strong strokes, always from the baseline. He has been having a great year.
Zverev is, in my opinion, proving to be a player that will maintain his spot on the top 3. Does he deserve it at the moment? I don’t think so.
Despite all his qualities and being great from the baseline, he is still very inconsistent mentally,
which means that he is still in a stage where if anything goes wrong he immediately smashes his racquet to the ground in frustration and isn’t able to maintain the level during the whole 3 sets,
being able to be inconsistent in each service game. Still, a win here would mean he would move on. He has beaten Cilic 2-1 and lost to Federer 2-1.
As for Sock, he is also a player that we can consider to be young and this one with even more to learn.
He is a player that I enjoy watching when he is inspired, having a very tough style to stop. Besides that, he is also able to win nearly impossible points
and the question is whether he is able to maintain consistency, although in his case there is (a lot) more mental inconsistency.
He also has some stupid losses, besides looking to be above his ideal weight in my opinion. His movement has been lacking.
Alexander Zverev vs Jack Sock– Betting Tip and Prediction:
Sock is on the same situation as Zverev since he lost to Fedex (2-0) and won against Cilic (2-1). Both players could have lost to the Croatian and both had some luck that he crumbled under the pressure.
Zverev will try to explore the aggressive but defined points, attacking but thought through, while Jack will try to get quick points and hit everything on his forehand.
Both players are in position of advancing, but this will also be a mental duel and despite everything, Sascha is well above in that department so he should advance here.
